Natural balance equine dentistry
Dawn DArnell

Dawn Darnell - NBD Practitioner

I have been a horse lover my entire life, owning my first horse as a teenager, and went on to obtain a degree in Animal Science from Western Kentucky University. I was not involved in horses again until getting my daughter her first horse in 1998. That began my journey of learning.

As a new horse owner I believed that floating teeth was something done to older horses that had weight issues. Living in Kentucky with horses on lush pastures, that never seemed to be an issue.

In 2005, while attending a Parelli conference in Colorado, I attended a demo done by Natural Balance Dentistry master, Spencer LaFlure. I was blown away as he talked about dental issues and their connections to muscle mass and motion. I had to know more. In 2006, Mike Fragale, one of the instructors of Advanced Whole Horse Dentistry, came to balance my horses. After Mike worked, I saw dramatic changes in the way my horses moved, the way they looked and their dispositions. I knew I had to be a part of Natural Balance Dentistry.dawn

I began training at Advanced Whole Dentistry in Fall of 2006. Since that time, I am constantly amazed by what Natural Balance Dentistry can do for our horses. An owner of 12 horses of my own and caretaker of several more on my farm, I see the difference balance makes to a horse's life. In my practice of Natural Balance Dentistry , I see changes everyday that astound me. Natural Balance Dentistry will not cure every problem with your horse-but it's a great place to start.

I became certified in May of 2008. I regularly travel in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Mississippi and surrounding states. I am always happy to answer your questions and if I can't get to you, I will refer you to another Natural Balance dentist who can.
